Stanleys in the New World

It seems to me that researchers in the United States try to push their ancestry Eastwards back to the Atlantic seaboard and then over the seas to Europe or elsewhere.

This is a different style of research to that I’m used to here in Europe and I do not profess to be an expert. However along the way I have written and emailed many people who are and in the process I have accumulated a lot of information that may be of interest to you.

From the Thomas Stanley the quaker, possibly the first Stanley in Virginia to the Stanley brothers who were the first to settle in Connecticut, they are all mentioned in the database.

There are over 20,000 names on the database but I am always looking to extend this. If you wish to share your family tree with me, this will be gratefully received. Gedcom preferred, but otherwise MS Word or any other method is fine too.
