Stanley Family History in Five Minutes, maybe Ten.

Are you interested in Stanley Family History but not related to any of the lines outlined on previous pages? Nigel Stanley

This is a significant site for Stanley family history written and particularly well documented by an English historian of many years standing.

While concentrating on the Stanleys of Sussex & Kent it convincingly argues the case that the Stanley family may have more than one origin, the single origin theory is something many sites take for granted. Recent major update done in August 2004.
 

Brian S. Roberts

The focus of this site are the Stanleys of Storeton & Bebington in Cheshire. Once again this is another well documented and nicely laid out family history.

The author demonstrates that some of the previously published history on the lineage of this particular family is incorrect.

 

James K. Stanley

An important site for Stanleys researchers, especially those with ancestors in Connecticut.

Also the author gives some background on the ancestors of the Connecticut Stanleys who came from Kent in England and their possible relationship to the Stanleys in Cheshire.

 

Frances Coakley

Specialising in the the Isle of Man and the Stanleys who ruled that island for more than 300 years.

This is a very important and well-documented site for anyone associated with these Stanleys.
