Stanley Demography

I hold the information on the various Stanley families on a Kith & Kin database. As explained earlier I am happy to run searches for people, just drop me a line. I also use a programme called GenMap UK which enables us to see a geographic interpretation of this database, at least for the UK.

Currently this is the distribution on the database for the Stanley name (plus variants) for all time periods:

Another way of showing this is by “flood filling” the counties. You can then see “at a glance” which counties are Stanley hot spots, and which counties have limited coverage, the darker counties have more “Stanley events” taking place inside them..

Stanley distribution in the Cotswolds

This mapping shows the distribution of births (baptisms), marriages & deaths (burials) for members of the Stanley family (and variants) for different periods of time. The symbols are exagerrated so that the larger symbols relate to more events taking place in that location. The large symbol in North West Warwickshire is Birmingham, the four large symbols on the Warwickshire / Gloucestershire / Worcestershire border are Chipping Campden, Snowshill, Broadway & Blockley.
