Stanley Origins
Connecticut

Connecticut was one of the first colonies settled by the Stanley family. Here is really the only branch of early American settlers that I know can definitely prove their English ancestry, those of Hartford co., all originally come from Ashford in Kent, England.

Here is a list of researchers who have ancestors from this part of the world. I'm sure these people would like to hear from you, please mention where you saw the link to their web site.

I should make a special mention here of James K. Stanley and Werner Stanley whose web sites are especially recommended.
