Stanleys in Kelsall

My name is Ian Stanley. I live here in the heart of the beautiful county of Cheshire, England with my daughter Hannah in the lovely village of Kelsall. Originally from the Midlands we have lived in Cheshire now for many years.

I have researched my family history for many years and now we would like to share some of the fruits of this labour with you in this special site, Stanley Origins.

The Stanley line that I am associated with originally came from the South Midlands and you can see more about my own line here.

Our overarching passion is the history of the Stanley family, hence this web site. However to find out more about our other interests please refer to my personal web site. There is more information here on some of the other families that the Stanleys married into, namely the Powers, the Willmotts, the Gees, the Lynes etc.

The Stanley Origins web site really started as a document recording my own Stanley family history. To me this is still an important element (of course) and so I include it here for your interest.

Over the years I have discovered many distant cousins in all parts of the globe all descended from one fellow who lived in the Cotswolds of England back in the 17th century. Maybe you are another of these?
